Ok so i have been running a youtube channel for 3 months and wasnt able to reply to any comments and today i finally gave up and got google+

People were starting to get pissed becouse i wouldnt reply to them so i was left with no choice but to get it

At least you can change your name on YT now if you want. It doesn't change the URL though.
So your channel could be "Linusgamingtips" but you could just change the display name to "Linus's Games" if you wanted.
Basically the same as twitter. you can change the display name, but your handle stays the same.

Just make sure you are aware of the changes though.

I didn't know you could have a YouTube account without a G+ account. Well, at least a content creator but that shows my ignorance. I some how had a G+ months before it was required and I still don't know how it happened.
