My pc is 11-13 years old but it still runs most games fine( the ones that it can run being direct x 11 or smth)

it has an intel 1-7 950 and a nivida gt 210 with 12 gigs of ddr3 ram

Should i upgrade?is it worth waiting until rog rig robbot next year with the gpu prices and all?

Since most games run fine I'd keep it like it currently is. A GPU upgrade would definitely wake it up, but I would wait until you need to.

Remember to quote!
If it runs fine annd suits your needs, then don't upgrade. However, if you want some moee power, maybe get a system with a 5600g, and then add a gpu later.

ok, what yould you reccemend?

If you're coming from that pc and wanna upgrade, just get a ryzen 3 2200g apu, b450 board and 8gb ram. It would still perform way better than what you currently have.  If money is no problem, get a 5600g and b550 board.

Im on newer platforms but in the end I see no reason to upgrade anything atm.

Truth be told, Im not going to spend the same amount on the GPU that I am on the entirety of the balance of the build.  Just not that into gaming.

In these times, a graphics card at a reasonable price is not easy to find. That said, a sketch of a graphics card on the back of a pizza box that you cut out and slot into the PCIe slot would probably perform comparable to your GT 210.

If you're limited by a form factor or low wattage power supply, you can get a Quadro K620 on eBay for $40 that performs a bit better than a GTX 650 while also always having 2GB of VRAM and only drawing power from the slot.

That's obviously not great performance compared to a modern card, but it would be 11 times faster than the GT 210 going by the numbers on Techpowerup. Plus it won't cost you a year's wages.

The odds of winning the ROG Rig Reboot are near 0.

Unless you like your odds of bring a choice of 3 in thousands of entries.

Currently you can upgrade to a Ryzen 5600 / 5700 and the onboard GPU has better performance than a GT1030.  So you get to bypass the GPU purchase for now.

But if you want a dGPU?  Good luck, gonna need it.

The GTX 480 also is decent, $40-$60, but is 155% faster than the GTX 650 (UserBenchmark)

The CPU ain't that bad. My secondary rig uses that era of hardware. Does just alright, it's the GPU that needs some help. A GTX 750 would be a pretty massive upgrade for you. Maybe a GTX 950 if you get one for cheap.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

It also requires a 6 pin + 8 pin for power, has less VRAM, takes up 2 slots and requires a full sized case, and is no longer receiving driver updates. Strict price to performance are not the only considerations and I specifically mentioned that the K620 is ideal for low power consumption/limited space situations.

Did I read it right? nivida gt 210? still runs most games fine?

Not only this card is ancient, but it's also weakest of it's series. I can't understand how GT 210 can run most games fine in 2021. Are we talking about games made in 1990?

i usally play minecraft whilst streaming and run blender sometimes and it runs them fine...

after reseting the pc until the menu when you right click on the homescreen pops un in less than 3 seconds

also i assume 40fps in minecraft is fine?
