How do i transfer data from storage unit to storage unit

So i am new to pc building and i want to uprgade from a pretty shitty 500gb harddrive and i wanna upgrade and so i eonder how to transfer the data fast or if its possible to have both harddrive in at the same time 

PC Details:

1080 geforce 

500gb harddrive 

Intel i7 8400

32gb ram

Yeah, just connect the new hard drive to your PC using a second SATA cable.

 

If you want to transfer everything to the new drive so that Windows will start from the new drive, you can use a tool like Macrium Reflect to "clone" the old drive to the new drive.

Then, simply change the boot order in your computer's BIOS so that it starts the computer from your new drive instead of the old drive.

Your new drive will likely come with cloning software bundeled. Just to point out.

Ok so i only have 1 ssd slot ans i have a ssd and i dont have a spare hardrive so how do i transfer ssd from ssd

Get a spare hard drive or flash drive. Or upload to the cloud.
