Connecting PSU to lower wattage UPS

Go to solution Solved by HanZie82,

If the UPS has a lower rating, in the unlikely event it would use that 750Watts the UPS would shut down to protect itself.

But if there's only lower power chip in there like the 3000G you will be fine with lower rated PSU.

Just remember this when upgrading said PC.

So yes it should be fine.

My parents have a 750W power supply but realistically speaking the system takes like 250W or way lower than that, for reference they are using an Athlon 3000G with no discrete GPU

Question:

If PSU is 750W but the system uses way lower than that, can I connect that PSU to a No break with lower wattage than the PSU?

Or does the No break has to be 750W and above?

Thanks
