DOOM Eternal refusing to use dGPU on Optimus laptop

I've got a laptop with good 'ol Optimus (involving a UHD630 and 1050Ti), and no matter what I do DOOM Eternal absolutely refuses to acknowledge that the 1050Ti exists. I've tried the usual nonsense like the +r_physicalDeviceIndex 1 Steam launch flag, and that has done absolutely nothing. I've also restarted my laptop a handful of times (for completely unrelated things) and that fixed DOOM 2016 which was also having this problem, but still no dice for Eternal. And unfortunately I don't have any options when it comes to a MUX switch, so that option is entirely out of the question. I'm hoping someone else has had the same issue with an Optimus laptop and has fixed it (in a way that doesn't involve disabling the iGPU in device manager and crossing your fingers).

Yup, both from Windows' side as well as the NVidia control panel.
