Probably should get a new Cooler?

hbsterling

I have the Ryzen 2600 with the stock cooler in the MASTERBOX Q300L with a rtx 3070. I am getting a 5800x and I assume I should get a different cooler and I want a Noctua air cooler so I was wondering what is the best compatible one?

Are you in the US? If so, check out these options:

SE 224 XT - 30 USD (has White LED, and SE 234 is ARGB)

Vetroo V5 - 35 USD ARGB
FS140 - 50 USD (higher end)

For AIOS (not needed for 5800X, just aesthetics)
EK AIO and Galahad are viable options. But for a more budget oriented choice:

Liqmax 240 - 60 USD

There's a number of options.

For Air Coolers it's less about the CPU compatibility (aside from raw TDP capability.) And more about "Will this fit in my case" ?

The Q300L has a 159mm clearance, so you should be about good for anything.

MASTERBOX Q300L

I have that case, it's not very good for air flow.

I think I'll move to the 011 air mini.

Where are you shopping / located?

What ram are you using and why are you considering a Noctua cooler?

I am looking at amazon or newegg us, and I use Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB. I just hear Noctua has the best coolers.

If price isn't a concern, the NH-U12A is one of the best options available. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ZLtQzy/

You'd be better off going with a nhd15 tier cooler for less

i5 2400 | ASUS RTX 4090 TUF OC | Seasonic 1200W Prime Gold | WD Green 120gb | WD Blue 1tb | some ram | a random case
