Yeha what would be best for bf4, dirt 3, Hitman absolution, etc and some music

I would like good bass

Good quality

 

Headphones or speakers?

Id headphones open backed.

 

So for heaphones there is: Sehnheriewr HD 558: $130

I got HD 558's and I love them so much.

 OK they do look good and i have heard good of them. Would it be worth the extra money (and uglyness) for 598?

 

I like my Sony MDR 1R's.

i had the Hd598's and i personally think the 598's sound more refined

if both of them are nonmodded.

 

the 598's are not ugly theyre classy.

i dont know about the HD598's but i know that @ has them so he could tell you if they are worth it or not but personally i would go for the HD558's

i would get the corsair 2100!

There is really not much of a difference between the HD 558 and HD 598. If you have a Noctua system the HD 598's look good :P

I dont have noctuas. So you say no difference? Have your tried them both?

Have you tried htem next to each other? And do they sound 100$ better? (120 vs 230)

They really are not great when it comes to sound compared to some decent $100+ headphones. Also they are wireless so interference could be a problem.

DT 990 pro's actually have considerable bass versus the HD 558's.

 

 

DT  990s would have the best bass.

Somone else said they needed an amp. IS this true? Are they worth extra money over 558 (170 vs 120)

if your motherboard can support it, go for it. AND TOTALLY they are beast and I love their frequency response personally.

Great for listening to electronic music.
