Looking for High Refresh Rate OLED Gaming Monitor with HDMI 2.1 or Displayport 2.0

So first of I have a 55" LG OLED 55CX TV which I use as my main Display for my Desktop PC right now. It is OLED and 120Hz with Nvidia G-Sync so really it's awesome. Since I have now experienced OLED in Games I won't go back to something like IPS and will only settle with OLED which means that this is more about knowing what's out there currently and what's planned to come out in the near future. In the Future I wanna get a Steering Wheel setup so I'd probably want Curved for that tho I have never tried a Curved Gaming Monitor.

So what I'm looking for in particular is:

  • between 27 and 32 Inches if flat Panel, 32 and more if curved
  • at least 120Hz of course
  • Has to have at least Nvidia G-Sync, I have an RTX 3060 GPU btw.
  • would be cool if it supports AMD Freesync Premium aswell
  • at least 1440p but would prefer 3840 x 2160 aka "4K".
  • only care about HDMI 2.1 or alternatively Displayport (2.0 ?) would also work since I'd just adapt it to HDMI 2.1 since my GPU only has DP 1.4a x3
  • would like to have a USB C PD port which can provide at least 65W of power so that I could plugin my HP Envy with one cable and also charge it
  • other than the USB C PD port I don't care about a USB Hub or other gimmicks
  • only care about height adjustments

Companies I'm avoiding for Displays:

  • MSI
  • Razer
  • Acer
  • Dell
  • HP

Budget is 1200 CHF max, this won't be the Samsung Neo G9 or a LG OLED 48CX so yeah. Has to either be directly available from the manufacturer who sells in Switzerland, through amazon (Germany) or my Consumer Electronics Shop of choice: https://www.digitec.ch/en

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Why not the 48" LG again? It's just over 1k here.

Because the monitor you are looking for doesn't exist lol.

Maybe you can wait a bit longer for a 42" LG TV, I heard rumors about that.

If it supports Freesync Premium, it's highly likely if not 100% certain to either be G-Sync compatible or be able to run as a Freesync display off of the Nvidia GPU with the features supported. I would say look for G-Sync compatible branding, Freesync branding, or G-sync branding. If you intend to use G-sync then I would say buy a monitor that supports both Freesync and Gsync so that it doesn't force you to pick one manufacturer or another for GPUs in the future.

Searching on PCPartpicker there are no 1440p OLED monitors available atm.

If you're going for 4K120 then DP 1.4 is sufficient.

Freesync over HDMI is barely supported as is and G-Sync over HDMI is also not well supported iirc. I'd strongly advise using DP if you can.

This is getting into the really niche territory and I suspect you won't find a monitor that supports this with USB-C. Thunderbolt 3 would support this if the host device had thunderbolt 3 but your laptop doesn't support Thunderbolt.

This is way over budget but frankly I'm not sure you'd find anything within your budget that also meets your other requirements.

The problem with this is it's 48" which is wayy too big for what you want but a search on PCPartpicker shows no monitors under 45" with OLED that are 4K.  Otherwise it works as an option. It doesn't have the USB-PD charging or passthrough but honestly none of the OLED monitors will likely have this, it's a niche feature on high end IPS, VA, and OLED 60Hz monitors.

The other 2 monitors that I found that might work are a 65" LG or a 55" Alienware. But honestly at this point I would just recommend looking at a smaller OLED TV rather than look for a 4K120 OLED monitor. Buying a 4K120 IPS monitor is already hard enough, 4K120 OLED simply doesn't exist in the sizes you want as a monitor. You'll probably have better luck looking for an OLED 4K120 TV that is 40 or 45". I'm not certain that they make OLED TVs smaller than 40".

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

The monitor you're looking for simply doesn't exist yet.

You either have the 48" LG C1 which is as small as it gets for a high refresh rate (120Hz and up) OLED display or the 32" LG 32EP950, which is a monitor with the according size, but only runs at 60Hz and costs over double the price of the 48" TV.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
