turn off hibernation,  its a buggy pos.

Also its not good for electronics to be turned on and off frequently,  so when you just do a ~20 minutes break it's better to leave the pc on, put a lock screen or something if you have to.

As for your issue. I'm not sure, try also resetting cmos (I think i would still turn off hibernation asap, i think that would work in safe mode too)

It is kinda cumbersome on desktop PCs. For me I solved the issue by accident. I unplugged the PC and went to bed and in the morning it started working fine. The thing is when on hibernate mode, the PC actually loses all the cached data when I unplug, and this happened when I enabled the virtualization features in the BIOS to install Docker. Anyway, I'm glad the issue is solved.

Hi,

So I was gaming on my PC, then I exited the game and put in hibernate mode. When I came 20 minutes later, I turned it back on but had a black screen and the caps lock light wouldn't switch on the keyboard. I assumed that it just crashed so I long pressed the power button but since then it won't start. The spinning wheel under the Windows logo stops spinning every time I try and I have to long press the power button again.

Every other attempt, I have the Repair mode and several options such as resetting Windows or using a recovery point. I don't have any point of recovery and I would like to avoid resetting Windows. I also tried to uninstall the latest update from this menu but it didn't help either.

Also, I don't know if it's linked but last night I left the computer in hibernate mode but when I came back in the morning, it was on and crashed. The fact that it wakes up by itself is an issue I've always had with this motherboard but the crashes are uncommon.

What can I try? The full specs of my PC are on my profile.

Thanks!

Update: I can now open Windows in safe mode but I don't know what to do from there.
