PSUs are designed to be plugged in and to not lose power, and there is a large inrush current when it's plugged in. So you're damaging the PSU. The rest of the PC is fine

So what should I do stop switching it off and leave it on?btw after I shutdown my pc I unplug it to the outlet.the reason Im switching the power supply off because after I shutdown my computer the fan inside my system unit is continuously running and Im worried that if I unplug it while running I might damage the pc

Then there is something wrong with the fan that it's still getting residual power.

Turning a psu on and off daily is a sure way to really harm it's lifespan.

Just click "Shut down" and that's it. You can leave the computer plugged in and switched on.

What model power supply do you have? It should have a sticker on the side of the power supply with the brand and model number on it you can see by taking the side panel off the computer case. The fan should not still be spinning after the PSU is shut down.

Heres a photo. The only reason I turn my power supply on/off and unplug my computer is because even though I already shut my computer down the fan inside my system unit is continuously running

A picture of the back isn't particularly helpful. To find the brand/model you will need to take the side panel off the case and see the label that's on the PSU on the inside of the PC.

That said, from the photo of the back it looks like a very old or low quality power supply. 220V only is typically a sign of a cheaper PSU and that 80mm rear exhaust fan is not something most PSUs have used for close to 20 years with more modern units often favouring 120-140mm intake fans instead.

Also your power cord appears to not be plugged in properly.

Looks like the typical low end unit, I bet the input voltage switch is hidden underneath that sticker. Why would the fan stay on though? they must've wired it to an standby rail rather than the usual 12/5V for some odd reason, that or the computer isn't actually off but in an S3 state.

No voltage switch. It'll be 220V only. 115V requires better components (lower voltage, higher current, more stressful on the PSU) so an easy way to cheap out on a power supply is make it 220-240V only.

I'm actually not sure why the PSU fan would still be on when the system is shut down. It might not even have a true 5VSB rail, could just have the 5VSB wires connected to 5V and the PSU is just always on. 5VSB circuitry is additional cost after all. If that is the case it's an exceptionally bad PSU.

It'll be pretty easy for OP to see if it is indeed the PSU fan that is staying on after the system is shut down as you can just look at the fan at the back of the computer to see if it is spinning.

Ok.  Then there's something else terribly wrong with your PC.  You should be looking at to why a fan is still running when the PC is "off" instead of asking if it's "ok" to unplug your PSU.

If it's such a cheap, crappy power supply, then unplugging it every day isn't so big a deal, eh?

No.  The big deal is actually expecting to not slowly kill all of the hardware it's currently powering when it is running.

<removed by staff> Do you really think that, "if it's running, it must be ok?"

Do you not know what kind of damage poor voltage regulation, poor ripple suppression, poor quality switching FETs can do to all of your components down stream?
