well its plugged in right here and the cable is 4 pin and the connector is 4 pin and there is only one way to plug it in so its correct

Also, who knows,  maybe you have to set it to PWM... it should be like that anyway,  but every bios is different  -- hence some pics of your settings might help as we don't really know what you did.

And yes, updating bios is usually a good idea too with issues like that.

There isn't any software outside the board manufacturer to control the fan.

FanControl might work.

oh uh so i used the fan tuning feature and now everything is wiped

Did you wait for Fan Tuning to finish? Have you tried reverting to default motherboard settings?

What cooler are you using? Is the issue with a single fan?

Moved to Cooling.

Your current BIOS CPU fan curve is set to 60% PWM at low temps, so it’s going to spin high at low temps. Can you adjust that curve manually by moving the dots? - You have 3 blue dots. Drag the left most dot all the way to the left & then drag it down to 30% & then drag the second dot to 30%/50° & then the last dot to 100%/80° just to see if the fan calms down.

If you can’t adjust that fan curve…

Have you tried resetting the motherboard CMOS yet?

& if you still have any motherboard software that controls fans from windows, I’d uninstall that too & just aim to get fan control working in the BIOS to begin with.

Is this even the bios? It looks like some app to me...

Yeah, it has been pointed out (I think???) that this seems likely the issue,  app conflicting with bios settings.

Oh yeah you might be right about the screenshot not being the BIOS. I just read his description above & mistakenly assumed it was the BIOS. But he does mention “Ai Suite” which could be the App in question.

Ok, so yeah, go ahead & uninstall this App @Cacked Lion. Let us know how it goes as I’m also curious to find out what the issue is.

I had weird problems when updating to a faulty BIOS myself, so don’t discount that either.
