Freenas Still locked about to wipe, Call me Hillary Clinton CAUZ I'm washin servers!

Thought I would give it one more shot, I have what I think will work but I am unable to find anyone willing help implement it. I will wipe and start over in the next day or two if I get nothing.

Here's the original post with the solution just need help going through what exactly to do as the poster is vague about the basic stuff.

Main Rig: Threadripper 1950X, Asus Zenith Extreme, 6 x 16Gig 15,17,17,17,35 @ 3000MHZ, Asus Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB, 4 x WD SN750 1TB M.2 In Raid 0, Asus Thor 1200W PSU, some spinny drives for extra storage all hiding the the corner of a TT View 91.

without reading your entire previous post, why not load the newest freenas (12.0U6 I think) on a flash drive and boot to that. Then load a backup...

Maybe something was addressed between 11 and 12 that will fix the issue? You can always go backwards if not (assuming you don't let freenas update ZFS, which it will not do automatically, it will ask first).

Boot's fine, the pool is encrypted, have key wont unlock, just need someone to interpret and give me the commands to try typing into terminal.. This has been 9 months theirs stuff I'd like to keep but nothing worth much more of a wait.

Right, but maybe whatever issue your running into with the pool not unlocking was fixed in 12U6. I’d say it’s worth a shot before you go nuclear.

Make a backup, load 12u6 on a flash drive. But from flash drive, load config, and try.

You “shouldn’t have” to use any terminal commands to unlock a pool, obviously if things go south that is the power user option… but if your not getting any traction in Freenas forum, I don’t know what else to tell ya besides try 12u6 just for shiggles.
