Hi Everyone,

 

I work for a small bank and we use Matica S3200HD card printers to instant issue our credit and debit cards in branch. We have been getting a large amount of card jams in the turn-over unit in almost all of our printers at least a few times a week. It will usually jam with the turn-over flipped 180 degrees pointing to the left, and on rare occasion it will jam vertically near the mag encoder. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any ideas on how to avoid this in the future. We do a full clean weekly, running sticky cards, cleaning the dust traps, and feed rollers with water.

may be a stupid question.. but have you asked the manufacturer?

 

i havent dealt with the financial sector much, but i do often deal with some exceptionally "specific to the medical sector" stuff, and usually the manufacturers are more than happy to answer to customer's questions.
