Posted October 12, 2021 For example, the Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen9 offers "16 GB LPDDR4X 4266MHz (Soldered)" Does this config run in dual channel? I cant recall any reviewers talking about this aspect of soldered ram I understand some other models of laptop offer 8gb soldered + an extra dimm slot for user upgrades. But for these ultrabooks that dont have any extra Dimm Slots , what do i make of it? I only ask because in the past i have personally seen gains in the apps i use - when i upgraded to two identical sticks of ram vs single stick Photography / Finance / Gaming
 Posted October 12, 2021 I don't see why they can't solder 2 modules in dual channel mode. The point of incorporating the modules in the mobo is they can reach a slimmer body. Best to check some reviews to confirm the specs as lenovo doesn't provide it.
