I was looking to upgrade my old APC Back-UPS ES 750. Cause its only 450watts and it deosnt like my asus rog strix 3080 ti. it pull over the 450watts and the UPS goes crazy. I was looking at the APC BR1500ms2 https://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/products/Back-UPS-PRO-BR-1500VA-SineWave-10-Outlets-2-USB-Charging-Ports-AVR-LCD-interface/P-BR1500MS2 thats a 900watt unit. but i have read horror stories about it saying it caught fire and destroyed PSUs. anybody have this unit or heard anything different. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Here is what I have. No fires. I have had this since mid 2018, I had to replace the battery in it last year. To put it in to perspective for a hot minuet our electrical line coming from the utility pole outside to our house was loose, causing surges and shit. That degraded the battery faster. But like I said, No fires and this unit has been rock solid.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
