Hardware Firewall for PCIe? Does this exist.

Redneck PC

I would like to know if there are things such has hardware firewalls and or other kind of hardware security devices that you can plug into a PCIe slot that offered increased security online? Like something that is a wireless card but has the capability as functioning as a hardware firewall? Like say you take the Ubiquiti Unifi Security Gateway or Firewalla and make it into a PCIe Card for a computer. Does something like this exist?

Nope. Sorry.

Hardware firewalls will take the form of a seperate networking device.

What do you expect from such hardware when you say "increased security"?

Your router should already do all this, you only need to firewall between the Internet and the LAN.

Granted if you're connected to public WiFi there may be merit there, but even then the benefits of a separate box vs the software firewall within your OS is questionable.

If you're paranoid then a router that can connect to WiFi (not sure any can at stock, but any that support OpenWRT firmware can) could provide that additional isolation, it wouldn't make much sense to do this on a PCIe card as there is simply no market for it.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

And your reason for needing such a device that isn't solved by an external hardware firewall/router or a software-based solution?

No, I just have a strong impulse build a Modem -> Firewall (Ubiquiti Unifi Security Gateway ) -> Cisco Meraki -> MetaDefender USB Firewall -> Desktop. I was just interested in knowing if anyone made a Ethernet card with hardware firewall capacity.
