You're not gonna get a full capable computer and monitors for 500 bucks, unless you get something used.

Do you already have monitors?

i wouldnt personnally buy anything from ebay as the deals arent that great most of the time, you gotta buy local, with facebook marketplace and cragslist.

What do you have now? I doubt you're going to get much of an upgrade for $500. It's not a lot of money.

Tell us your computer specs, you will have to upgrade your old computer (assuming it isnt a pile of junk) cause 500$ aint gonna get you much, esp not a gpu

OP said they want to play newer games, which is why they are upgrading.

-> Moved to New Builds and Planning

Channel name removed as per advertising rules.

You will need to go used. On all. Otherwise just monitors will blew major part of your budget. But you can easily get 2x1080p monitors for under $100, maybe even under $50 if you aren't picky.

List your existing parts, more you can use again, less you need to buy. Like if you are running desktop, you could get away with just better CPU and newer GPU, maybe needing to add PSU if its some prebuild you have now.

Ah, so laptop. This would have been something important to mention in first post. That both eliminates possibility to reuse parts AND makes this the bit harder on your budget.

First the monitors. Go with what you can find for cheap.
My 2nd 22" was €20. If you can find them about that price, or even cheaper, you have better selection for main PC.

The PC is bit in between. You can go the true and tested Optilex route with better GPU and SSD added. Or you could get new laptop. Which is better depends bit on the used markets in your area.

This is worse than your laptop.

Like I said, for total budget of $500, there's no point going new. For streaming you want minimum of 4 cores and 8 gigs of RAM. Nvidia GPU from 9th or 10th gen possibly.

So something like this would be a great pick, if you can get it locally https://www.ebay.com/itm/224608566515?hash=item344bb6bcf3%3Ag%3A8vIAAOSwdbVhP8Vj&LH_ItemCondition=3000|2500|1500

I would not go for shipped with this expensive stuff.
