Fair enough to be expected from these really high end and far thicker than normal aio's and arctic being well arctic 馃槢. But that is basically how it works. Bigger heat spreader better cooling basically.

yeah, but saying that aios聽聽are louder than air coolers is not correct

Yes and these 27mm thiccc Krakens and galahads offf 馃檪

I would go as far as saying that almost very 240 AIO聽 if front mounted would beat the NHD15. And if not just give them 2 arctic P12 (or P12ARGBs)

and its easy win..

but ofc its no need to change out the 160mm fans on the NHD15

They are tho. The minimum noise level will always be more due to pump noise that is just what pumps do.

IF they are the thick boi rads then yeah because they simply have more surface areas than the nhd15 and also fresh air.

the 27mm(thin rad)聽聽240 galahad beats the NHD15 in 35db test tho聽 聽馃え

in the test of the best CPU cooler tester on YT

I wanna see what is happening there because that is such an outlier.

Edit: yeah I see why it's better. Amazing fans + really good rad does a lot. Bunch of high end everything's too.

outlier cuz its the only 240 aio he has tested? its in line with: AIO beats air coolers in general.聽 馃槢

5600X is very easy to cool compared to a 5900X believe me 馃槃

On 5600X you can actually set 1 speed 1 voltage and use it for just about anything.

Linpack Xtreme is the hardest load that I could imagine encountering, and OCCT is a run of the mill kinda load..

I have been playing with my 5600X today in my 20c room. Just all core 1 speed 1 voltage runs. I did have my fans turned up all the way because I don't care about noise normalization.

I cant run 4x8 past 1833 on my 5600X, my 5900X was running all 4 that's why you see some of the differences on the memory side of the bench. Also just a nice easy DOCP profile that would be used for 3200 flat 14s on the 5600X. Nothing aggressive.

Is that why you are getting 79C on your all core 4.6Ghz and 74C (if I remember correctly) on your 4.8Ghz all core OC?

If I set my cpu to all core OC around the same voltage I get around 82-84C.聽 聽I guess I just need to get use to running a cpu at 74+ C - the last time I bought a cpu it was a I7 6700......

EDIT: See its with your 5900X so dont mind the question.

You bet. I don't have the 5600X installed anymore. I swapped it out for my 5900X yesterday. Its a good little CPU, I like it. Realistically I can run all core at 4650MHz 1.25v for any load.
