What's a good program to check a drives health?

I'm seeking for a program where I can see a drives health and perform some tests like writing and stuff because this drive I have doesn't sound too good

Start with the manufacturer of the drive's own tools, after that, I like diskgenius, but the interface is....arcane

So this is a WD drive, what tool would I use? Also idk if these sounds really are bad, there was a few clicks at startup so it worried me

Crystal disk info is nice.

 

But a lot of drives don't give any warning, so make sure you always have backups.

Well this one kinda did a few clicks at startup, idk if it's dying or if it's because it's connected to a turned off cable TV box
