Intel expands 10Gbps “Thunderbolt Ethernet” capability to Windows

The feature, which will be enabled by an upcoming Windows driver update, will "emulate an Ethernet connection environment" and provide a 10Gbps two-way link between two computers connected with a Thunderbolt cable.

Thunderbolt Networking is apparently not being enabled for older computers with first-generation Thunderbolt controllers and will also only connect  2 computers to each other but it can be handy, I have lost count of the times this has been useful between two macs when trying to back up someones data.

This is a really really fast connection, and was possible before from mac to mac but is now mac to pc or pc to pc.
