Do you recommend G5 34" Ultrawide?

KhaderKh

Hi,

I never used VA panel, alaways been on IPS.

Long story short, do you recommend the Samsung Ultrawide G5 3440x1440?

Smeering, ghosting...etc?

I have LG 27GL850 IPS 144hz 2K, but i really want an affordable Ultrawide wide

PS: no other options available in my country.

Thanks

Well, if there's no other options in your country, then that pretty much makes the decision for you. The G5 is one of the more inferior monitors in this category, so in other circumstances, I'd tell you to get something else, but if you want an ultrawide, then apparently in your country that's your choice.

I think 34 inches is a little bit small for ultrawide

???

It's the size most of them are and is perfectly adequate. Basically a 27" monitor with a bit more screen at the sides.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Agreed. 34” is pretty much perfect. Good pixel density for 1440p while giving you more real estate than a 27”. Anything bigger, you pretty much need 4K, and the options become vanishingly small at that point outside of spending $1500+ on a monitor.
