I usually just take a moose or caribou sausage, bbq it, cut it in half then put it on the bun with mayo and mustard.

So none of the above.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Chilli, mustard, and onion. Specifically best from Bill's Hot Dog stand in Ypsilanti Michigan. They are a seasonal business. When they open in February you cant even get in the parking lot.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I'm just a boring hot dogger. Ketchup, mustard, relish.. sometimes cheese.. bacon if its around. Looking at some of those fancy hotdogs above.. I wonder if they would have put in that effort if they actually knew what was in it..

Currywurst is not eaten in a breadroll and has nothing to do with a hot dog.

That may be your opinion.

Sauerkraut on a sausage? Unless it's served with potatoes and Kohlwurst, or even standalone: No, thank you. Also, ketchup or mayonnaise not belonging on any food item? Welcome to culture outside of the United States of America.

Germans been eating Sausage and Sauerkraut for Centuries. Later they added Potatoes.

Catsup was a Asian Fermented Fish Sauce. The English were trying to copy this. They came up with Mushroom Catsup, then Worcestershire...

You're either French or secretly Gordon Ramsay.

Mayonnaise is a French Mother Sauce. And I'm American...

Who cares about what it was? Saying a tomato-based sauce is "not supposed to go on food" is a rather dumb statement and usually made by people who claim to have a high couture taste, but nobody that's normal.

Tomatoes are best eaten fresh with a bit of salt. Or in Salads. I make Pasta Salad with Veggies.

Exactly, but mayonnaise is used everywhere around the world for a multitude of things, and it's very much meant to be also used as a standalone sauce. Who cares that it's usually used as a base sauce (which is the term you were looking for, "mother sauce" sounds very odd), it is also used standalone and tastes well with a lot of things, so it very much belongs on food.

If I must, I'll use some to make Tuna Salad... Otherwise I will use Brown Mustard, Pickle Relish, Tabasco Sauce, some Soy and Flavored Vinegar...

Don't get me started on BBQ Sauce...

I’m not sure how I feel about this. It would be more funny if you claim you’re from Texas, aka the capital of BBQ.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Well, in France it's an insult to a chef from my understanding.   Gordon Ramsay complains about everything.  I'm Saxon/Slavic/Nordic/Scottish/Croatian/Greek/Angle mix more on the Slavic/Nordic side, born and raised in America, and adopted by Irish.   I've had about every style.   It honestly depends on two factors.   1)  What tastes good to you personally, and 2) If you want to be a food snob about it then it depends on the cut of meat and how it is prepared.   Ketchup actually does go fine on sausages in many cultures, including Saxon and Nordic.   On what most consider a hotdog ketchup/catsup is more apporpriate than a brat or other style sausage.  You can still put ketchup or even mayo on there if it tastes good to you.

More likely HFCS.

American bologna and hot dogs do not come even close to Native Sausages.

That's your opinion, not a fact.  The hot dog American style, is also popular in Scandinavia and served alongside other sausage types.  Ironically, the hot dog itself originated in Germany.  So, it is actually a true Euro sausage rather you lile it or not.

I'm talking about the cheap American version. The Pink stuff they make those with is used for bologna.

Neither are good for you.  You're just comparing your own personal taste preference as if it were a fact.  It's pork and other junk meats that raise cholesterol levels served usually with sources of bad fats, starches, sugars, etc.

Moderation... And I was referring to Taste.

So, that's your opinion, not a fact.  You are treating your opinion as a fact.  Even in moderation it's still garbage for you compared to a normal chicken breast, that isn't deep fried or cooked in a garbo oil.

Waste Oil? Cooking Oil used way too many times...
