PS4 Pro vs XBOX One S

Heya all! Which is console is better? I plan to use it secondarily in my room whenever friends come over. Games vary from rocket league to battlefront. I already have an xbox one s, but that is for the living room. (and a subscription) I will be playing on a 240hz 1080p monitor (shared with my pc). Not going to be super competitive, just casual but want it to be 60ish on splitscreen games.

I mean just use your pc and get a second controller?

 

The xbox one s is just a gaming box where all games are shared on pc and the ps4 barely has any split screen titles. If you really want split screen gaming you need older games which you'd be better off getting a psnow sub for or just get a old ps3 for 50$ with a bunch of games and controllers.

 

Actually even better would be a switch or a wii u. Those consoles especially the wii u are super focused on split screen and you can fill in the gaps for games with your pc.

do you think the primary monitor could be for the pc,and my secondary monitor for my (planned) console with keyboard and mouse attached? Console would be in hdmi cause I would use the monitor for stream chat as well
then they/me could play on the console with the pc player
would that work?

I mean the pro…..

the one s is a marginal improvement over the normal one, wile the ps4 pro is quite the large improvement.

the large improvement to the Xbox one is the One X

I've played on both, and the PS4 Pro annihilates gameplay.

 

I had constant noticeable stutters playing DMC 5, on the Xbox One S, back when I was playing it on gamepass a long time ago.
