b550m s2h with 5800x

I have a gigabyte b550m s2h it has 5 phrase for vcore . for the highe site it has 4c10n and for the lower site it is using two 4c06n in paralal ... so it should probably handle a 8 core processor very easily .... my quistion is can I overclock a 5800x extreeeeeeeeamly for 24 hrs a day on this motherboard ??? I'm concerned about the vrm heatsink

No not at all. This thing currently already has overheating vrms on a 5800x stock.

You can always add a fan there. 50, 60 or 70mm slim fan with zipties should drop temps quite a lot. Its not like 5800X will usually oc well though as those are hitting thermal limits almost at stock.

 

Extreme oc is not for budget boards as usually things like liquid helium or hydrogen add to the costs a bit so you want a board with more features.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. he says it can handle a overclocked 3950x... so I thought it can also handle 5800x very easily....

if I compare gigabyte b450 gaming x & gigabyte b550m s2h who has better vrm?
