Is a 65-inch Apple TV on the way?

dtronicsuk

Apple’s been rumoured to be working on its own big screen Apple TV for some time now, but we’ve yet to see anything come out of Cupertino. No

I highly doubt they would release an actualy TV set, seems a really odd play for them. TVs are quite low margin products. Apple are more software guys than hardware guys, they want to create a great experiance with easy software, they already have apple TV, making a physical TV just seems to make no sense

There has also been no report of them having factory equipment in order to make TVs

Also the TV market is WAYYY too saturated, samsung/lg/sony can easily create a panel on par for less money.

However a new Apple TV set top box? I can see that, with an A7 chip and app support so you can download games and apps - that would be glorious. The only other thing would be them integrating their apple tv box into existing TVs, but I doubt apple would want to put their name on another brands products

If they do, it will be so they can build an app store ecosystem to sell apps. They won't make much off the hardware.

I cringe every time I see the gadget show or even an article from the gadget show.

No and who would care. Apple products are really boring. I am more interested in affordable 4K monitors. Like the Samsung U28D590D.
