Alrighty friends, need some help here as I am having a difficult time finding one. I am building my dad an HTPC for his new apartment and want to use hardware I have on hand. However, the spaces I have to work with are confined in his entertainment center. I have 12 inches (~300mm) vertically of clearance. Horizontal doesn't matter as its 100% open and I intend to use a stock cooler I have on hand, either a Wraith Prism or Wraith Spire. I wish also for the cases orientation to be normal and intended, and not getting a normal Micro ATX tower and just laying it down. I think that would look Tacky.

I am looking for a case that fits the following:

mATX motherboard support

Full size ATX power supply support

12 inches (~300mm) or less in total height

Proper orientation/presentation of case and not just laid on its side

Preferably less than $100 but would be will to entertain above depending on the options.

I wish to not have to buy new hardware as I already have an Asrock B450m Pro4, Ryzen 5 2400g, and a 450w EVGA B2 PSU I intend to use.

Silverstone GD series would be a good option

have you considered a cube case such as this one (this one is just over 12in in Hight)

I did, but the height is a hard limit at 12inches due to the spacing between 2 glass panes on the entertainment center.

Right now the SG11 seems to be my front runner. I have an SG13 for my HTPC and love it so I would assume this will be similar, just slightly larger.

I have two SG12 cases, replaced ML03 cases. The second SG12 case I wanted a SG11 but couldn't find one from a "major" retailer.  So ended up ordering another SG12 which is pretty much the same thing just a different front. They are nice cases, decent amount of room for a "small" case.

How do you like the SG12? I've got a Newtek Tricaster TCXD40 that I was given by a friend from a video production company to repurpose into a HTPC and it's based off an older version of that case, the SG02 I believe, as it has a custom front panel with a bunch of BNC component video and audio inputs/outputs but inside it has 2 5.25in drive bays instead of one
