Are there any good 240hz monitor that is both good for competitive gaming and amateur editing?

shaun_idk

I want to replace my old 60hz monitor with a 240hz monitor. At the same time, I do want to use it for mild editing for school projects. I do have a Huion kamvas 20 drawing tablet (ips)as my secondary monitor but it is used for drawing and is angled in a way my body cant use while sitting up straight.

Are there any good 240hz monitor that can be use both for editing and competitive gaming?

Thanks for all answers.

For basic editing for school, basically any monitor will be fine. Ive taken a good amount of video editing classes, and none of them are super picky about colors. You don't need to have super color accurate work for classes. You can just double check colors on your other displays to be sure, but its very unlikely to be a issue.

Just adjust the resolution in Windows to 1080p?

besides, when you upgrade the GPU, the full res will be waiting for you to take advantage of

I heard that 1080p on 1440p monitor is worse than a 1080p on 1080p monitor with the same size. Also i find the curve on the g7 too much for me

there's only 2 that i'd recommend, and not the g7, if it wasn't so curved it'd sell alot more 😅

it's 240hz and decent colors. alternative is the fi27q-x, 100 cheaper but the colors are worse.

the 1080p options in general are overpriced and have bad colors, unless they updated in 2021.

overall the choices are nowhere near perfect cause 240hz, and they probably won't get better for the next 3 years.
