Has the problem regarding USB in B550 and X570 with Ryzem 500 series solved for everyone?

Budget (including currency): 30000 EGP

Country: Egypt

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: games (1080p or 1440p, haven't decided the monitor i will get yet), work (MS office, google drive, google sheets, many browser taps), basic windows programs.

I am trying to choose teh right parts for my first build ever, I will be paying years savings for it.

The build should be an AMD one, mid range B550/X570 MB (I am choosing between different models and brands) with R5 5600X and a RTX 3060.

While looking for reviews for some parts, I came across many reports of USB issues with B550 and X570 chips. And the reports continued till 4-5/2021 until a bios updates is released from AMD and manufacturers. However, till now, many users still report these issues going even with the latest bios updates.

Here's my question, are these issues completely fixed (not just a temporary fix by reverting to gen 3 pcie or disabling power management)? If so, why many users are still struggling with the issue till date? Should I stop looking into Ryzen and start considering Intel? (I really like AMD and impressed by Ryzen 500 performance but this is not a minor issue).

Thank you.

Intel is only good when you overclock it

Otherwise its just a budget option

If you arent gonna overclock then dont go intel cause you are gonna be stuck with a slower cpu than the amd counterpart

Heck intel only makes 8 core cpus now so the best option is the 10850k, a last generation cpu with 10 cores, and even that still gets beaten by 5800x unless you very heavily overclock it

So unless you overclock intel is kinda garbage compared to amd

Yeah, I know that, and I really don't like anything about Intel, including thermals and prices. AMD was my first choice without even thinking about it for a minute. However, the USB issue is huge thing for me and everyone I guess.

I plan to get this build without any upgrades for about 7 years and at this point, I will start thinking about heavy over clocking to get the last bits of performance out of it (as I did with my current laptop).

If you still want it to perform decently 7 years later youll have to get a 5900x

This is where intel really shines

But the last gen 10850k 10 core is your best option so unless you got a 5.3 or more single/2 core boost then you are kinda fked

But the performance of gen 10 in general is much weaker than even 5600x. I really don't know what to do.

Or just stick a pcie to usb card so you wont have any issues with usb and you can use ryzen instead of intel

Theres always a 3rd option

Many parts and accessories are not available in here, including the majority of pcie cards. Noctua coolers were available for the first time ever few weeks ago. We rarely even see water blocks for cpus and gpus here 😄
