Can you take a properly lit picture? The card is basically in the dark.

Just at a quick glance looks good to me, your issue could be something else maybe ram or something. Get a better picture, all that is really visible right now is a dusty dark GPU

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

And you didn't run it without the cooler, right? Why would you remove the cooler on something you just bought? Faulty->return. Unless you can't return, but then that would be a questionable purchase.

Newegg are notorious assholes about returns anyway, especially on refurbs. They'd have found a way to refuse it regardless. OP just made their lives really easy.
