Vertikull

I've gone through numerous different tutorials on how to delete this stupid virus but with no success. Any help?

Ultimately it goes down to disabling it at startup, finding its origin and nuking it. If theres any other remnants they'll probably be rendered useless. Though for a secure solution reinstalling really is a good way to zap anything for good.

backup your irreplaceable files (i.e the ones you can't just download from the internet) and reset your windows install.

if you /really/ want to fix it and not reinstall:

Reboot in safe mode, and delete the files.

no, do not use the uninstaller.  Find out where the files are located and delete them while in safe mode.

but really, the smartest option is to backup stuff and reinstall windows from scratch.  you CANNOT trust that stuff to go away.

Im assuming ill need an external hard drive or something? (Probably a dumb question but I know next to nothing on the software side of things)

If you're tried everything to get rid of it, then the only option is to back up any critical files and nuke the drive from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.
