is there anyway to fix a artifact gpu?

so i found a cheap 1660 super but it has artifacts, i want to know can i fix it or should i just mine on it, also if i mine on it how can i make all its power go to the mining and nothing eles? (going to plug the hdmi into my mobo)

You aren't the first to be interested in that card!

 

I don't know about mining on it, but it might work for that. I have a Radeon R9 270 that shows very similar artifacts, and they actually change if the board is flexed. I've had it running Folding@home for a few weeks now without issue. 

 

However, the card you're looking at seems to have some memory issues. It's reporting 0MB of VRAM, and the artifacts look like bad memory. You could attempt to reflow it to see if it's a solder issue.

If it's bad, it's bad. Doesn't matter if you're gaming or mining, if it's artifacting like that it likely doesn't have much life left.
