dam, I just got a Sony BRAVIA 42inch LED for £650. :( Then again, 50inch is will not fit in our house

Wait until its 60hz standard.

The reason why it's 30 Hz is because HDMI doesn't have enough bandwidth. The panel itself likely supports 60 Hz at 4k no problem. HDMI really needs to die (Or evolve with significant bandwidth increases) and let Display Port finally become the standard.

The refresh rate of the panel is actually 120Hz

Looks epic. I'll keep biding my time until it's about $800. Then I'll seriously consider buying it. Not because I only value a TV like that at $800, but because I feel like if I buy it now, it will be a waste as the price will keep going down.
