What is the best open source Reddit alternative? I use Lemmy and that is good but I want to know about people's favourite reddit alternative which is open source

My Laptop: A MacBook Air

My Desktop: Don’t have one

My Phone: An Honor 8s (although I don’t recommend it)

My Favourite OS: Linux

My Console: A Regular PS4

My Tablet: A Huawei Mediapad m5

Check out Mastadon. It's not specifically a Reddit clone, but it's a decentralized social media made by FOSS nerds.

Yep I have heard of mastodon before. It was one of the biggest apps in the fediverse! I don't have an account yet though but might make one. Lemmy is runs on the same protocol as mastodon but is more of a reddit alternative

hmm, interesting, it *does* look like an alternative for sure - but also not really super similar - the thing about reddit is its *huge* … i dont even have an account, but its really useful to get info just about everything  really…

And is it me or cant you read any posts/comments on lemmy without an account?

I don't personally use any open-source alternatives, but you could checkout Fediverse.Party to explore various projects.
