Is my monitor broken?

So I've had this monitor for about two weeks now. I was playing battlefield 1 and I noticed the colors were off. One side was grey and the other had color. I switch around some settings and noticed that when I set the game's refresh rate at the overclocked speed of my monitor (270hz) its starts doing it but when I lower the refresh rate to 240 It stays normal. Please help. It looks like a GPU problem, have you updated drivers/bios of graphics card.

yes I have everything is up to date...I am also using a gtx 1080 founders edition

Another thing, I also took as screen shot of the game to see if it would show up but I didn't see anything
