my monitor makes static buzzing noises around the cable, does anyone know why?

it also turns off when it does static

if you need to know this its a HP Compaq LA1951g

My guess is the staticy sound comes from the 3 pin connector to the monitor internal power supply? I'm guessing it's a loose connection between the cable and your monitor which may explains why it turns off. My does that. Try plugging in securely?

my guess is electricity is leaking. it could be

1) your cable

2) your i/o is borked
