5900X overclocking via PBO and Curve Optimizer ... normal results?

MSI B550 Unify running BIOS E7D113AMS.132 (06/28/2021)

5900X cooled with a DH-D15

2x32 GB Crucial DDR4 3600 MHz

Overclocking\Advanced CPU Configuration\AMD Overclocking
PBO=Advance
PBO Limits=Manual
PPT=142
TDC=95
EDC=140
Curve Optimizer=All Cores
Optimizer Magnitude=-20 (-25 gave errors)
All other settings=Auto

Cinebench R23 (3 min) scores were 22,223 and 22,339

Getting about 64C max avg temp and about 4,400 MHz avg effective.

The score with no overclocking was 21,709 and it hit about the same temp with about 4,264 MHz avg effective.

Haven't tried boost yet.  Am I doing something incorrectly?  Was expecting higher temps and more than a 3% gain.

I'll try some other values for PPT, EDC, and TDC.

So I kept the curve the same as above (-20 all cores) and jacked up the PPT, TDC, and EDC.

PPT=190
TDC=135
EDC=175

Now Cinebench R23 (3 min) score was 22,926 and 22960.

Getting about 78C max avg temp and about 4,450 MHz avg effective.  That's about 6% increase in scores.  Again, is this normal?

How are you accessing curve optimizer with PBO disabled?

I enable PBO and set to advanced then go into curve optimizer and make my settings exit back to main PBO menu and then disable PBO. CO settings remain active.. teehee.

Edit:

I just finished running this. In that screen its running nice. But when I get to 1800FCLK and higher temps between CCX1 and 2 can spike as much as 12c between the two of them as FCLK scales, which affects core temps. Its not the hardest load to push but its decent at times 😄
