I'm about to build a PC, I'm not sure.  I would probably mount it downwards because I'm really clumsy and will probably drop a screw into it.  Then again, I think the fan on top looks sexy, unless its a Noctua... then turn it back around so my eyes dont bleed.

Depends on the case really.
if there's no ventilation at the bottom, then top facing up.
if you're clumsy with screws, just cover the grille temporarily lol.
