This should be illegal… - Manufacturers are swapping SSD components

SM2262EN + Sandisk 96L + Samsung

Bought in September 2020 in Czech Republik from a local vendor.

The speeds are a bit lower, because the SSD is connected to the PCH.

I have Samsung 970 Pro connected to the CPU and I don't want to swap it right now.

I remembered this video when I recently watched a video by dosdude1 where he made a custom PATA SSD. This makes me wonder if anyone would be interested in a DIY board where you select the DRAM, controller, NAND flash, & size of capacitors. I was thinking of making it so you can use small or larger & more capacitors like they do for data center SSDs so you can clear the DRMA cache in the event of power loss.
