what would be the best way to change the drive with the operating system to a new ssd

Plantwastaken

i have an old HDD with my OS on it and bought a new m.2 SSD today, what would be the best process to put the OS on that so the pc uses that SSD to boot faster etc. instead of the HDD (and how would i make sure it doesn’t boot to the HDD) preferably without third party softwares

Just do a clean install on the new drive. Unplug all other drives, in your BIOS just make the M.2 the first boot device, and install windows. After that, then you plug in your other drives.
