OEM CPU on a diy Motherboard?

So I have the chance to get a Ryzen 5800 currently and my current motherboard (Asrock Steel Legend B450m) supports the 5800X according to the CPU compatibility list. Does this mean that the OEM only 5800 would also work?

 

Just haven't been able to find any sort of documentation on this subject.

In theory it should, but your best bet is to send an email to askrock and ask them, or maybe amd.
