Which GPU should I go for ?

I have a MSI H410M PRO VH motherboard, Intel i5 10400 processor, 16gb(2x8gb) 2666mhz RAM, 1 ssd 500gb with a Corsair CV550W PSU. Can I get a few recommendations for a GPU please ?

I don't plan on overclocking, just a few games and everyday use PC

At MSRP? RTX 3060 should be a good slot in for that build, with your limiting factor really being your PSU.

At street price right now? your IGPU.

Depends what you 'need' to do; the 10400 has an iGPU for now, if you just 'need' basic tasks.

Longer term; look at the most demanding task you'll put the machine to & budget for that.

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

GTX 660. They can be found for relatively cheap ($60-$90 here in the US) on ebay.

GTX 670 if you're willing to pay a bit more for a bit more performance.

Heard very recently that nVidia plan to EoL GTX6xx driver support, so...

The most demanding task would be gaming only, like r6 for example

Yep, but EOL'd cards still work with most games that don't require the most recent driver update, and those games wouldn't be playable on the 660 anyway. I was proposing it as a cheap, "better-than-igpu" option until OP can get an affordable 1660 or 3060 or something.

I don't mind buying a GPU right now also, it's just that I wanted to know which one will be the better buy so that I don't bottleneck the GPU

For now:

GTX 1660, new... or used, anything GTX 6- or 7xx - or newer - with 4GB or more VRAM.

Definitely 4GB min., VRAM

Thanks for the recommendation, one question, with the specs of my PC is there a chance of this GPU(1660) bottlenecking ?

Will there be any issues with:

1,  the CPU pushing more frames out faster than the GPU can render them, or

2.  the GPU rendering the frames the CPU produces faster than the CPU can draw them?  Maybe...

Will it be noticeable in a way that is life-altering...?  Unlikely...
