$9,000 Workstation laptop sucks at running games. Help!?

JackAwesome

First, I didn't buy the thing personally. It's the system from my dayjob.

Problem:

Modern Warfare/Warzone, in 1080p @100% render scaling V-Sync off, everything else at normal or lower, I'm netting no more than 56fps while in a match.
At 2160p @65 render scaling, V-Sync off, everything else at normal or lower, I'm netting between 42 and 55fps and it's quite inconsistent.

Temps are normal, nothing hitting close to 100% utilization

System:

Dell Precision 7740
Xeon E-2286M
128GB memory
Quadro RTX 5000
SSD everything

I'd assume this would be more than capable of delivering some tasty numbers but it absolutely does not. And I'm at a complete loss. If anyone has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it.

It's only $9000 because of the specialized hardware and 128GB of RAM. It's not $9000 worth of performance. The CPU is just 8c/16t, with a very low base clock after tau. The GPU is basically a mobile 2080 super or a desktop 2070 super. Not sure what you were expecting, but the FPS seems about right.

I was hoping it could at least make some sort of sexiness, but it makes perfect sense with the cpu. #Sadface  I guess I'll just keep using it for the dayjob and wait for the gpu prices come down from holy shit.
