Grid 2 and Shift

These games are relatively cheap but I wanted to know if they are still active online if not I could just torrent them. Also does anyone else know any good pc racing games?

Get Assetto Corsa, its still in alpha but its great

Shift is dead, Grid 2 is pretty much dead, and Grid2 , its matchmaking goes based off your Steam download location.

 

Selecting UK in Steam, gets more servers for Grid 2.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Not much of a player base for Grid 2, it is still a fun arcade driving game though.

Not grid 2, so shift. Yes, asseto corsa, dirt 1,2,3 and WRC 4.

No talk of torrenting allowed here. Fopr games, Shift1 uses GFWL and I don't suggest getting it. Shift2 might be bit better. Grid2 is okish if you like arcade.

Shift 1 doesn't use GFWL.

Well, maybe not excatly, but its as annoying. As in no savegames, can't skip intro's etc.

No savegames? my game saved just fine. The real issue with this game is the handling. Its absolutely terrible. One of the worst game I have ever played. I cant stand it (i love sim/semi sim games like GTR, forza) but this one is just annoyingly bad. Even after tweaking the handling I still find it absolutely lacking.

I meant that if you need to reinstall game or windows in my case, there is no way to use old savegames. And everytime you start game first time you have to listen the boring intro before menu which is annoying since I used it for benchmarking.

Even if they are not active online the single player aspect still works, they are cheap enough that you shouldn't have to go around pirating them ><

Shift 1/2 are  awesome,no one makes better Racing Games then NFS ,Grid ,Grid2 ,rubbish ,the steering is total Shit

I honestly don't think there was ever an online community for Grid 2.  I bought it at launch and couldn't get online to play with anyone.

O I got you. Btw the savegames are located in Documents/NFS Shift. I just saved that file and when I reinstall windows and boot Shift back up, all my files are still there.
