make sure that lens fits on the nikon, nikon's use a proprietary mount for the lens, I'd say get the lens and then wait for canon/sony body to show up, if it is not nikons mounting system that is.

UPDATE: DO NOT BUY THAT CAMERA BODY, BUT AT THE PRICE YOU CAN GET IT FOR, BUY IT FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES, sorry for caps and bold.... and big letters..... and red

I dont have much experience with cameras but I would say yes

 The Wannabe is no longer. Replaced by the Flotilla. If you replace every part of a computer is it still the same computer?

It's not a serious camera for serious applications, but it's definitely a good starting point and it will take nice photos, probably the best photos you will ever see for $35.
