Little tip for those of us who have AC4

So I've been sodding around with AC4 the past two days, trying to get it to use all my cores. I found that a good system was when I launch the game, in task manager, set the affinity of the game, start with the bottom core, alt tab back, then add the next one, until they are all selected. This seemed to work for me, all six cores are now being used equally and my FPS has gone from scraping 40 to around 120.

I still haven't gotten past the first mission on my Xbox 360, let alone even thinking about doing this. And how on earth were you getting that FPS with the Titan Black in the first place?

Badly optimized game + 3 screens + max settings.

That appears to be the case, yes.

gta 4 in my experience was better optimized for nvidia cards I had the game run better on an Nividia 8800gts than a 7950

When it was first release it was rather bad, but it got patched.

Darks Souls 1 trumps GTA 4 imo

Thats because rockstar were working with nvidia, so nvdia got hold of the game earlier and had better optimization.

I should probably give this a try. Usually stuck around 30 fps which tanks to 20 during storms and large naval battles. Still playable though, for the most part. It hasn't gotten me killed yet (usually me being stupid gets me killed).
