My computer won't stop stuttering. even if I played Roblox.

Justagaming

I recently had to perform a factory reset due to my DELL XPS 17 L702x's 256gb Samsung 860 EVO not wanting to update due to corrupted update files.

After re installing it and going from windows 20H2 to 21H2 I now notice stuttering that is getting annoying. (Yes I play Roblox and it seems to be doing this still. I restarted Lowered my overclocking speeds back to stock. and tried everything I can think of Even user Benchmark.)  Any solutions?

Did you do a complete wipe of your drive(s)? If you did, did you reinstall all your drivers?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I have found a temporary solution. I have throttle stop lock my CPU to 2.7 ghz.

My i5-2430m used to go to 2.8 for a second but jumped around like a 5 year old on steroids.

You don’t have a cpu adequate for roblox.

I speak as someone who played roblox on a similar Sandy bridge mobile system

It used to run it fine. (By fine I mean I could run on 3 graphics 30FPS and 2 at around 40-60 depending on the game) That is until the CPU was running on dry thermal paste and I found out when I was turbo boosting it and running it at full clock speeds. (10 year old paste) So what CPU is suitable for my Dell XPS 17 L702x. Highest I know of is the i7-2960xm. Though currently I am 11 and my dad isn't going to be spending tons on a CPU. So any recommendations? (this damn CPU could run pacifico 2 at like 30 fps 2 graphics. so I don't see what the issue could be besides heat wear and damage)
