Can i use Ni-MH rechargeable batteries on the xbox wireless controller 2020?

Title, i have this controller https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Controller-Shock-Blue-one/dp/B08DFB488B/ref=bmx_2/144-6284510-6990805?pd_rd_w=vxuoS&pf_rd_p=e8693f8f-29a2-4e3d-acf6-ce23d1970043&pf_rd_r=P79QV31SCVKT0E1ZYBFA&pd_rd_r=7b695e96-c2c6-48a1-a6d4-5245da3ad8fe&pd_rd_wg=6VeoY&pd_rd_i=B08DFB488B&psc=1

It was a gift from a friend that came from the US back to my home country, now yes i know that there's an official rechargeable pack for it, but having it shipped here would cost me more than the actual pack itself, and i already have a set of NI-MH batteries lying around that i use with my old Nintendo Wiimotes, so i was wondering if i could safely use these batteries as they're accessible for me but on this site: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/using-batteries-in-xbox-wireless-controller it states LR6 batteries and says nothing about NI-MH and other types, i'm using Duracell batteries in the meanwhile.

Specifically, these are the batteries and charger that i have: https://www.amazon.com/-/es/Rayovac-Cargador-bater%C3%ADa-Bater%C3%ADas-Recargables/dp/B07TS9QV9F?language=en_US

So, can i use those with my controller?

Since the have the batteries, just try it, They should work fine, but things like battery level may be wrong since the voltage is lower. It is extremly unlikely to damange the controller.
