It may be a little high, but mostly normal. Zen 3 runs hot, especially with that many cores. It also depends greatly on other factors like your case design, other cooling from case fans, the fan config on your radiator (push/pull, etc) and ambient temps. There's probably some of those other factors that need optimization.

You might also consider undervolting it with the curve optimizer as well. It will run a lot cooler and generally perform much better to boot.

It's a bit hot, bit normal is pbo is on

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

what is pbo?

Precision Boost Overdrive. That's a bit more loaded now with Zen 3. Previously, it was just about pushing more power to the chip, as long as thermals were low enough, so that it could potentially boost higher. However, now PBO (technically PBO2) has the curve optimizer which actually lets it boost higher with the same or even less power, so it doesn't usually hurt thermals like it did in the past, and actually can help them (the undervolting I mentioned).

Which H500? It's actually stupid how many case manufacturers have used that model number.

27c is pretty warm.. but then again so is 80. I don't have that CPU yet.. but to me it seems a bit excessive.

Maybe turn up your pump and fan speed?

I have a 900D Case with H100I (? dual 120mm) with a 5900x and I will hit about 70-80 depending on the game or task so 80C isn't out of this world but the utilization is a bit off for that temperature. Can you try any other titles that place more load on the CPU and report the temps back to us?
