Far cry 3 to buy or not to buy

Hey guys i have been interested in far cry for a while now it is $30 on steam normal price idk if i should just buy it or maybe wait for it to go on sale it looks good so yeah what do you guys think.

Where? i play near ultra on a 670 with a slight OC :/ on 5760x1080..

I bought it at full price. it's a good game but Far Cry 2 was a better game. It was a lot harder then Far Cry 3. But Far Cry 3 is still an immensely good game. I would wait for it to go on sale though because it's getting old. The graphics are OK, I don't understand the hype over the graphics it just has a nice aesthetic. It doesn't look anywhere near as good as Crysis 1 and 3.

It's an ok game, the multyplayer is kind of fun which adds replay value.

near ultra, its all about knowing what settings crushes your system and which dont and the difference they make, such as AA, you in general dont need more than 2 if the graphics are well made, and then you have SSAO and such that also takes everything, oh and i have a golden chip, i OC'd it near 780Ti clock speeds without hitting much heat and having it semi stable :) so maybe it does better even without the OC.

I payed the full $60 for it and it was worth it at that price.

 

My 570 managed med to high settings at 45-60 fps @ 1920x1080.

 

I vote buy.

Wait for a sale...it's a great single player game.  I don't think there is much of an online community left, but amazing single player campaign!

I bought Far Cry 3 when it was released. Since than I have played through it multiple times and logged about 65 hours on it. Just a word of advice, don't even try to play the coop or multiplayer. Both are awful. Im pretty sure they just through both of them in there to justify the 50 dollar price on launch. Or 60..........whatever
