Router that is actually capable of delivering close to 1Gbps on each individual LAN Ethernet port?

This vid will answer the points raised about the possibility that this Ubituiti Edgerouter X would not be able to output 1Gbps for connected devices.

It shows some tests done on this router using different configurations:

tldr: if you enable hardware offloading via the console, then all the work is offloaded from the CPU onto other chips in the router, which gives you basically 1Gpbs speed.

But this comes at the cost of not having enabled services like QoS or data pack inspection.

But for normal home usage, it will do fine with hardware offloading enabled and will give you very close to 1Gbps connection speed.
